EMPLOYEE STATE INSURANCE IS SOCIAL SELF-FINANCIAL SECURITY SCHEME IN INDIA .IN SHORT THIS SCHEME IS KNOWN AS ESI SCHEME.MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS SCHEME IS TO GIVE FINANCIAL SECURITY TO THE EMPLOYEE AND THEIR FAMILY  IN CASE OF ANY MISHAPPENING OR ANY OTHER UNAVOIDABLE CIRCUMSTANCES.THIS SCHEME HAS VARIOUS BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYESS SO THEY CAN BECOME MORE MOTIVATED AND RELAXED WHILE WORKING.

EXAMPLES OF BENEFITS OF THIS SCHEME IS:-

  1. HEALTH INSURANCE
  2. SICKNESS BENEFITS
  3. MEDICAL BENEFITS
  4. MATERNITY BENEFITS
  5. DISABLEMENT BENEFITS

 

REGISTRATION UNDER THIS SCHEME IS MANDATORY FOR BOTH THE EMPLOYEES AND EMPLOYER .IN THIS SCHEME BOTH THE EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTE AMOUNT PER MONTH IN CERTAIN RATIO.THE EMPLOYEE RATIO IS DEDUCTED FROM THEIR SALARY PER MONTH BY EMPLOYER AND DEPOSIT IN THE SCHEME WITH HIS OWN CONTRIBUTION.

THIS SCHEME IS APPLICABLE FOR ALL FACTORY OR ESTABLISHMENT WHERE 10 OR MORE EMPLOYEES ARE WORKING AND THE EMPLOYEES WHOSE EARNING ARE LESS THAN RS.21000 PER  MONTH HAVE TO REGISTER THEMSELVES FOR GETTING THE BENFIT OF THIS SCHEME.
